Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to transport goods
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Keep accurate records of items received and delivered
- Load, unload, and sort goods for delivery
- Follow directions, read maps, and plan efficient routes
- Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience in delivery or courier work is an asset
- Valid Class 5/5F/G driver’s licence for cars and light trucks
- Ability to work 30–40 hours per week, including early morning, morning, day, or evening shifts
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
- Physically capable of walking, handling, and lifting items up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
