Brief Job Description
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the production worker will be responsible for packaging and sealing meat products. The incumbent must be able to maintain line speed with strict adherence to all applicable policies, practices, and legislation including GMP, Food Safe, and WorkSafeBC.
Position Responsibilities:
- Packaging/Sealing of meat (pork only) product
- Keep up to production line speed while stacking boxes of product.
- Assist with various tasks as assigned by lead hands and production supervisors
- Work as part of a team environment.
- Be willing to adhere to all hygienic food safe and WorkSafeBC requirements in the plant.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
- Physically fit and able to lift, push, and/or pull, weight of up to 50lbs.
- Experience in food manufacturing within a fast-paced environment is an asset.
- Ensure safe and hygienic practices are applied to all tasks performed.
- Reliable means to commute to work location.
Required PPEs are provided including:
- Steel-toed boots.
- Hard hat.
- Hearing protection.
- Arm Guard, Mesh Gloves, Rubber Gloves.
- Apron and Smock.
Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
