Key Responsibilities
Broiler Operations:
- Clean and maintain chicken enclosures and barns
- Ensure proper ventilation and environmental control in barns
- Monitor flock behavior and health to detect signs of illness
- Perform humane culling when required, following farm protocols and animal welfare standards
- Maintain detailed records of flock health, feed, and production metrics
- Operate barn control systems and farm-related computer applications
Property Maintenance:
- Perform snow removal during winter months
- Mow lawns and maintain outdoor areas
- Keep farm facilities clean, organized, and in good working order
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year farm experience, preferably in poultry operations
- Ability to work part-time in person
- Proficiency in English for communication and record keeping
- Physically fit and capable of performing labor-intensive tasks
