Responsibilities
As a Sanitation Worker, your daily duties will include:
- Maintaining cleanliness of production floors, ceilings, walls, and surrounding areas.
- Using cleaning equipment like scrapers, brushes, pads, vacuums, scrub machines, compressed air, and power washers.
- Dismantling, cleaning, and sanitizing production machines according to master sanitation schedules and SOPs.
- Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and health & safety guidelines.
- Collecting waste and recyclables and disposing of them properly.
- Assisting with cleaning major spills of liquids or dry products.
- Performing specialized cleaning procedures according to the master sanitation schedule.
- Complying with all legislative, food safety, health and safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements
To succeed as a Sanitation Worker, candidates should:
- Have a passion for bread and baked goods.
- Possess previous manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred).
- Have prior experience in sanitation or industrial cleaning.
- Be comfortable using sanitizing agents and chemicals.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and meet company cleanliness standards.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, and eager to learn.
