Key Responsibilities
Crop Work
- Care for tomato plants through leafing, pollinating, twisting, and lowering
- Work in large glasshouses with warm and humid conditions
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout shifts
- Stand or walk for extended periods during the workday
- Carry out tasks at heights when required
Picking
- Harvest tomatoes according to quality and safety standards
- Work in glasshouse environments with high humidity
- Stand or walk for long shifts with scheduled breaks
- Perform repetitive movements with attention to product quality
Packing
- Pack tomatoes in an indoor packing facility
- Ensure accurate handling and presentation of produce
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in packing areas
- Stand for extended periods during shifts
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods
- Comfortable working in warm, humid environments (crop and picking roles)
- Basic understanding of written and spoken English
- Ability to work cooperatively in a multicultural team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and hygiene
- Reliable transport to and from the work site
