Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is seeking an experienced Welder Job in Canada to join its evening shift team in North Bay, Ontario. This full-time, permanent role involves welding and fabricating components for heavy mining equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GMAW, FCAW, or MCAW welding processes, be comfortable reading blueprints and welding symbols, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality standards. Evening shift workers will also receive a shift premium of $1.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
- Weld light and heavy steel, aluminum, and stainless steel plates and structural members
- Fit and tack components prior to welding to ensure correct alignment and dimensions
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment safely
- Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding
- Provide support to other fabrication and processing operations as needed
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with GMAW, FCAW, and MCAW welding processes
- CWB certified (or ready for recertification)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding procedure specifications, and tolerances
- Experience using overhead cranes
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and quality standards
- Previous fitting experience is an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must work evening shift hours: 3:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
